Death:
Charles health started to fail in 1864. He was over working and it caused him to start having symptoms of a mild stroke. In 1870, Charles suffered a stroke on June 8 at Gad's Hill, after a long days work. He died on June 9 and he was buried at Westminester Abbey on June 14.
